On the issue of differentiation between-the concepts “term” and “pre-term” (on the material of german terminology used in the field of dialectology)

The article deals with the main characteristics of terminology used in the field of German dialectology that allow to distinguish classes of terms and pre-terms. Figurativeness and long constructions are considered to be the main criteria which prevent a pre-term from coming into scientific use as a term.
