Concerning the use of 3VL80S electric locomotives on the Uzbek railway section Marokand-Navoi

The article presents the research results of analysis and estimate of transportation efficiency of 3VL80S mainline (train) three-section electric locomotives on the hilly and mountainous section Marokand-Navoi of JSC “Uzbekiston temir yullari” with non-stop and stop-and-go freight traffic at passing tracks, intermediate stations and intersections. The values of kinematic and energy parameters of the key figures of 3VL80S electric locomotives allow the locomotive complex specialists to elaborate recommendations for increasing  the efficiency of rail transport in real conditions of operating a tractive electric stock on hilly and mountainous railway sections.

Evaluating the efficiency of transport operation of an electric tractive rolling – stock on a hilly-mountainous railway section

The article presents the results of validation of operating parameters of 3VL80S mainline (train) three-section electric locomotives on a real hilly and mountainous railway section with non-stop and stop-and-go freight traffic at passing tracks, intermediate stations and intersections as well as estimation of the traction qualities (properties) of the track profile for this section. Criteria for the estimation are the adjusted values of overall and specific power consumption for hauling operation numerically and in terms of money with account taken of the values of equated time of train travel in traction mode and of the specific power consumption per trip. The research results were received using the methods and techniques of the locomotive-traction theory with account of basic indicators of the traction-energy efficiency of 3VL80S use in the form of tabular data and curves. The research results are recommended for practical use by engine-drivers, termotechnic instructors and experts of linear enterprises of the Uzbek railway locomotive complex who deal with issues of energetics of freight and passenger trains movement on the real hilly and mountainous and identical virtual railway sections.

Coordinate systems and coordinate transformations in air navigation tasks

Main types of coordinate systems used for solving air navigation tasks that are connected with the provision of aeronautical flight control and landing are examined in the article. The main requirements for coordinate systems are given.

Local (orthogonal, cylindrical and spherical) coordinate systems were studied, their advantages and disadvantages as well as areas of their application were highlighted. Direct and backward coordinate transformations between the local coordinate systems were shown.

The author shows distinctive features of global coordinate systems application which are connected with choosing the Earth’s figure model and its mathematical description problems. Basic information about the global terrestrial ellipsoids and their parameters is presented. The need to shift to the global terrestrial ellipsoid and global reference systems is demonstrated. Basic information about the ITRS and ITRF is given. Differences in determining an object’s space coordinates in these reference systems are described. Differences in the areas of application of PZ-90 and SK-2011systems as well as their prototypes WGS-84 and NAD-83 are specified.

The author considers peculiarities of global geodesic and geospheric (great-circle) coordinate systems, their advantages and disadvantages. Direct and backward coordinate transitions for global coordinate systems as well as expressions that link geocentric and topocentric coordinate systems are illustrated.

Data processing and exploratory data analysis

Aircraft maintenance procedures imply doing different work of logistic, organizational and technical and technological character. Their common issues are those of surveillance objects and processes for the purpose of numerical data collection, processing and exploratory data analysis before using for taking decisions. The urgent issues of mathematical and instrumental support for processing and exploratory data analysis within the operating company and under teaching in educational establishments of civil aviation are discussed in this regard.

The article presents the results of studies of the analysis and justification of efficiency of use of the main (train) three-unit diesels UzTE16М3 on the hilly-mountain area of Marokand – Navoi of the Uzbek Railways in the movement of freight trains with stops and without them at thestations en route, siding lines and separate stations. The obtained parameter values of the main indicators of the transport operation of the tested locomotives UzТЕ16М3 will be quite helpful for engine driver-instructors and specialists of the shop operation of the locomotive depot Samarkand, Bukhara in estimating the traction properties of track sides of a path profile and effectiveness of the operational activities of the mentioned real railway part of the JSC “Uzbekiston Temir Yullari”.

Research of the characteristics of the satellite navigation system precision fields by HIL-simulating and mathematical modeling

By HIL-simulating and mathematical modeling the author researched the characteristics of a navigation and timing field created by the GLONASS, GPS satellite navigation systems and the combined system. HIL-simulation experiments were carried out using the hardware and software of CH-3803M simulator and CH-4312 aircraft receiver. The problems of using integrated receivers are revealed. On the basis of a program developed in LabVieW environment the technique of constructing the fields of GLONASS precision in the horizontal and vertical planes using the values of the geometrical factors is proposed.

Рассмотрены математические подходы к первичному анализу статистических данных по наблюдаемым процессам и подбора для них адекватных теоретических распределений, а также оценке параметров подобранных распределений. Представлен обзор авторских компьютерных средств (инструментов) решения перечисленных задач описательной статистики. Рассмотрены основные интерфейсные решения по инструментам и показания по их применению в образовательной, инженерной и исследовательской практиках.

Cargo securing on the military trucks – transportation experiment

The paper deals with results of the performed transportation experiment and their interpretation. The aim of the transportation experiment is to find out the size of inertial forces in section of ordinary road (I. and II. class roads) in the Czech Republic with regard to cargo securing during transportation. The paper further deals with importance of knowing inertial forces for selection of fastener and way of fixation and also advantages, resp. disadvantages of using normatively set acceleration coefficients.

UPEVŇOVÁNÍ NÁKLADU NA VOJENSKÝCH NÁKLADNÍCH VOZIDLECH – PŘEPRAVNÍ EXPERIMENT

Článek předkládá výsledky provedeného přepravního experimentu a jejich interpretaci. Předmětem přepravního experimentu je zjištění velikostí setrvačných sil na vybraném úseku běžné komunikace (silnice II., resp. I. třídy) v České republice s ohledem na upevnění nákladu při přepravě. Článek dále rozebírá význam znalosti setrvačných sil pro volbu upevňovacího prostředku a způsobu upevnění a výhody, resp. nevýhody využití normativně stanových hodnot koeficientů zrychlení.

Tools for regression analysis and forecasting of processes in air-technical systems

The paper reviews the approaches of adequate regressions selection for observed processes and their use for solving practical problems of interpolation, extrapolation of factor analysis. The issues of forming the predictive models for the observed processes on the base of combining the parabolic regression, autocorrelation function and harmonical weight are considered. The paper reviews the author’s means of computer solutions of approximation, interpolation and extrapolation problems oriented toward educational process at engineering higher educational establishments and operating organizations of civil aviation.
